My fee is $195 for a 50 minute session.
You also may be able to use your insurance plan to help pay for therapy (please read the next question fully below). -
I am considered an "Out-Of-Network" provider, which means I do not accept any insurance directly. I’ve made the decision to work directly with my clients regarding payment, and they are very satisfied with this arrangement.
If you would still like to use your insurance, then you can potentially do so if your insurance plan has “Out-Of-Network” benefits. The way that would work is, you would pay for therapy at the time of the session, and then I will provide you with a “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
I am able to check for you if your plan has OON benefits during our initial consult call rather than you having to call your insurance company. So if you'd like that, please reach out.
Otherwise you can choose to see me privately and not involve your insurance at all. See why many of my clients choose this option below.
-
Most of my clients actually prefer to work with me privately and not involve their insurance at all. This is because in order to use your insurance for counseling, a mental health diagnosis is required, and this gets attached to your record. If your challenges don’t meet the threshold of a diagnosis, then insurance companies can choose not to cover your therapy.
Insurance can put limitations on the number of counseling sessions you can have, prior to truly completing the process.
An insurance company has a right to call the therapist and ask how sessions are going
At any point they can say that therapy is no longer medically necessary and cancel the coverage
And by not taking insurance, I’m able to maintain a smaller caseload of clientele and devote all of my focus into helping people.
Instead of taking hours each week going back and forth with insurance, I devote that time and energy to my clients, resulting in better outcomes for therapy.
If you have more questions about this, or have questions about finding your OON benefits and would like to discuss, then I recommend reaching out to me on my contact page and I’d be happy to answer any questions.

Therapy is a valuable weekly commitment, and I understand that occasional scheduling conflicts may arise. To honor both your time and mine, cancellations can be made up to 24 hours before our scheduled session without any fee. However, if a session is canceled within the 24-hour window, the full session fee will be charged.
-
Not too much! I use an easy online platform called Simple Practice to streamline paperwork. You will complete some basic information about yourself, such as your legal and preferred name and address. You will then review and sign an informed consent, which details the benefits and possible difficulties related to therapy, as well as discusses my practice policies. You will also complete payment information. Additionally, I have an optional intake questionnaire that new clients can choose to complete if they would like me to learn a bit about them before our initial session.
-
In our first session, we’ll focus on what brings you to therapy, exploring both the positive and challenging aspects of your daily life. Together, we’ll look at your relationships, routines, sources of joy, and different aspects of your identity. We'll also reflect on your past experiences—including those from childhood, adolescence, and adulthood—that have shaped who you are today. Most importantly, we’ll discuss your goals for therapy and what you hope to focus on in our work together.
-
I work with adults who are currently struggling with issues related to mood, anxiety, relationships, and work. Many of my clients are specifically struggling with triggers related to past traumatic experiences, dissociation and difficulties with overwhelming emotions. My clients often recognize that past experiences contribute to these present challenges, and many have histories involving abuse, neglect, insecure attachments, or traumatic loss that impact their daily lives.
-
In our work together, I primarily use Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapeutic approach that helps you connect with different "parts" of yourself, especially those that may carry burdens or reactions from past experiences. This process allows you to build a deeper understanding and compassion for yourself, which can support healing. When processing particularly difficult memories or unhelpful beliefs, I may also incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR involves specific eye movements or tapping to help your brain process and release painful memories in a way that feels safer and less overwhelming. Alongside these approaches, I provide practical tools for daily use, helping you address immediate challenges while also working on the deeper roots of your issues so that you can create meaningful, lasting change.
-
The length of therapy varies depending on each person's unique goals, needs, and experiences. Some clients find that a few months help them address specific challenges, while others benefit from longer-term therapy to work through deeper or more ongoing issues. Our sessions will focus on achieving meaningful insights, change, and resilience, and we’ll regularly review progress together to make sure therapy continues to meet your needs. The process continues as long as it feels beneficial and supports your personal growth and well-being.
-
Throughout our work together, I will often suggest different techniques that you can use between sessions to deepen and reinforce our progress. I like to remind my clients that "homework is an invitation, not an obligation." I encourage you to explore simple, healing practices that can be easily integrated into your daily routine, focusing on small, manageable activities that might take as little as 30 seconds to complete, helping you make consistent, meaningful strides in between sessions.
-
We’ll start by meeting weekly, which most clients find helpful, as it allows enough time to process each session without too much happening between meetings. At times, clients may wish to adjust the frequency of sessions, and we’ll discuss any changes to find the pace that best supports you.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and
mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are
not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including
psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-
emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith
Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your
Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more
information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
