IFS
Internal Family Systems

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that views the mind as a collection of different "parts," each with its own unique thoughts, feelings, and perspectives.

By fostering self-awareness and compassion, IFS aims to heal emotional wounds and promote a balanced, integrated sense of self.

Developed to help individuals navigate their inner world, IFS explores the relationships between these internal parts and promotes understanding & harmony among them. In this process, individuals learn to identify and communicate with their various parts, acknowledging and addressing conflicts that may arise.

I am an IFS Institute approved IFS Level One therapist. I incorporate IFS techniques into a holistic approach to trauma treatment which promotes healing and resilience, and empowers individuals to move forward in their lives with a renewed sense of well-being.

This approach has proven effective in addressing a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, and interpersonal challenges, providing individuals with valuable tools to navigate their internal landscape and enhance overall well-being.

My approach emphasizes connection and healing, guided by foundational principles including trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and a neurobiological perspective. With specialized training in childhood trauma, I bring a unique understanding of its impact on adults, seamlessly integrating tools for healing. I am a licensed clinical social worker and utilize IFS and EMDR to help facilitate healing in my clients. Throughout my career, I've supported individuals of all ages facing diverse challenges, from trauma to relationship difficulties, and provided guidance to caregivers.
